Acne Infomercials -Why They Don't Tell You the Whole Truth
How many times have you been watching a good program on TV, only to suddenly be encountered by a model with perfect skin, harping on about how you too can have the perfect complexion - if you buy such and such a product?
If you are like 99% of people, you would have seen these ads regularly. Unfortunately, whilst we all know that the model is likely to be using a product which is completely different to the one advertised, we can't help but think what would happen if we tried it and it worked.
Let us tell you this now. Products you see on infomercials are targeted to the mainstream consumer audience and therefore, the product you receive if you do order it will be one which is formulated to mildly treat the "average" person's skin.
What You Really Need To Treat Acne
Many people will have tried infomercial acne products and said that they work "averagely". This is because they do work - to an extent - for the average person. However, if your skin is different to the "normal" or "average" consumer, you may find that you completely waste your money.
For example, consider someone with the following skin types:
- Excessively oily skin.
- Very dry skin.
- Sensitive skin.
Try giving one of these infomercial acne products to one of these people, and they will probably respond with a frown after a few months worth of no results.
Buy an Acne Product Which Suits You
What you ultimately need is a product which is able to get rid of acne, whilst accommodating your skin type. For example, if you have sensitive skin, you want to look for a product which is going to be able to reduce your current acne issues (and prevent future breakouts) - whilst not further irritating your skin with harsh chemicals and extracts.
If you are able to find such as product (for someone with sensitive skin, a natural product is probably best), there is a 95% chance that the solution you settle on will provide better long term relief from acne issues than the effects of a mainstream, infomercial-like product.
So off you go! Next time you're out shopping or surfing the internet - customize your skin care choices to best suit your needs. You'll be thankful in the long run.
